Where. The Squarano Estate is a few minutes away from Verona, in the heart of the most classical Valpolicella, on a gentle hilltop surrounded by vineyards. The Marchesi Fumanelli have been growing grapes and producing wines here since 1470, on archeological remains dating back to the Roman age. The inscriptions and archeological remains in the villa, built in the seventeenth century by the noble Fumanelli family, are numerous. In the park, one can still admire inscriptions dedicated to the goddess Flora in the temple built by the Romans, who planted the first vines here over a thousand years ago.
